Facility Executive, Clearn Harbors, Hyderabad BHMCT - Batch 2017I cannot count on my fingers anymore, of how many years it has been since I completed my course at IIHMCA, but whenever I meet my batch mates online or talk to them over phone, I feel like not one day has gone by since. This place has given a head start to my career, which has enhanced my capabilities through high quality learning and good placements. The curricular and co-curricular activities have thoroughly helped to gain valuable insights which have been with us since i started working. Along with the academics, it was a great value adding experience being a part of the Catering committee, which is highly student driven and an amazing opportunity for learners which give us some challenging situations to plan, organise, re-organise and implement. This is pure management. Thank you IIHMCA.

Sous Chef – Pastry, Sea Bourne Cruises BCTCA – Batch 2009As you advance further in your career, you keep going back to where it all started and part of that is the college education; the constructive criticism you received and the persistence of the faculty members to make you succeed as a student but more importantly as a human being trying to make a difference in your world is something that I will always cherish. I give full credit to IIHMCA, Hyderabad where I learnt that “There is no short cut to success”. Here its sheer hard work along with hard work. Theory or practicals, all core subjects were presented not only as the syllabus mentions but beyond that. That’s the difference between a typical Hotel management college and IIHMCA.

Exec. Chef, Menu Script, Kuwait BCTCA – Batch 2009Belonging to Hyderabad, It was quite easy for me to know about different Hotel Management colleges. Though my initial choice was to study commerce, I realised that studying an exciting career-oriented course which no one from my extended family has done so far would be a thrill. That’s when I walked into Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Arts since this college which is my alma mater is the best. The infrastructure and equipment are definitely motivating to learn because the campus creates that kind of atmosphere where students tend to put in their best efforts.

Korean Welfare- business service, Hyundai motors india Engineering Pvt.ltd, Mumbai. BCTCA – Batch 2020I have very fond memories of my alma mater, IIHMCA, Hyderabad, where I learnt “Hospitality” and the value of sustained hard work. Every one of my faculties in all the 3 years of the BHMCT Program was a model teacher with a mix of qualification & industry experience in their specialty. They encouraged me to learn, and also do part-time job in the weekends to gain a functional knowledge of the Hotel Rooms divisions and F&B Service operations. There was never any element of frustration or suggestion that a question was trivial, only encouragement to keep on moving forward. IIHMCA is the place to study Hotel Management & Culinary Arts.

Asst Housekeeping Manager, Novotel Varun, Vijayawada.I am a proud product of IIHMCA. I got superb education here. The quality of education was phenomenal. The founders have created a fine environment for our education. Our faculties were fantastic. They did not behave like superiors. They treated students like a friend or a family member. I could approach them with questions anytime. They taught us with lot of interest and gusto. The practical classes, especially the non-culinary core subjects had lot of Role Plays which help students to shed all inhibitions and come out with confidence to learn more than what the syllabus has prescribed.

A Nagarjuna
Asst. HR Manager, Clarkes Exotica, Bengaluru BHMCT – Batch 2017What I was before joining and after passing out as a Hotel Management Graduate, are two different characters altogether.
Studying at IIHMCA has defined those aspects in me. Even though I am still that shy, humble and kind human being, the way I carry myself at my workplace is totally different. Always dedicated towards my work and ever ready to lend a helping hand, i do not shy away to say that i had learnt this from the ever-helping teaching staff at this college.
I still remember these words as told to me by the Director of the college during my admission interview...."Passion towards what you do and constantly reminding yourself as to why you started in the first place, can take you miles."
I am aware that there is still a long way to go, but this is what it has been so far.
