01 Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.iihmca.org and your relationship with the Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Arts ("IIHMCA," "the Institute," "we," or "us") in relation to admissions, enrolment, and participation in any of our academic or training programs.
By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry or application form, or enrolling in any IIHMCA program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
If you are under 18 years of age, these terms must also be accepted by your parent or legal guardian on your behalf.
IIHMCA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available at www.iihmca.org/terms-and-conditions.
02 About the Institute
IIHMCA is a private educational institution established in 2001, located in Habsiguda, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The Institute holds the following affiliations and approvals:
- Affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad — for the BCT&CA and BHM&CT degree programs (Affiliation Code: 1671).
- Approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana — for certificate programs.
- Approved by the Telangana State Council for Higher Education, Govt. of Telangana, Hyderabad.
- Approved by City & Guilds, London for offering City & Guilds qualifications/programmes vide Centre No.838307.
03 Courses Offered

IIHMCA reserves the right to modify course structures, syllabi, faculty assignments, timetables, and program delivery methods at any time. Such modifications will be communicated to enrolled students.
04 Eligibility Requirements
For Degree Programs (BCT&CA and BHM&CT)
- Candidates must have passed the Class 12 (10+2) examination or its equivalent from a recognised board.
- Candidates must appear for and qualify in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by IIHMCA.
- There is no upper age limit unless specified by the affiliated university.
For Certificate and Diploma Programs
- Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC / Class 10) or an equivalent examination.
Selection Process
Admission is granted based on performance in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE), which tests General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning and Numerical Ability. The CEE is conducted Online/ IIHMCA campus and at select other centres as notified by the Institute.
IMPORTANT
Submission of fraudulent, forged or misleading documents at any stage of the admissions process will result in immediate cancellation of admission without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities.
05 Fees and Payment
Fee amounts, payment schedules and accepted payment methods are communicated to applicants at the time of admission. By enrolling in any IIHMCA program, you agree to pay all applicable fees in accordance with the payment schedule provided.
- Fees must be paid by the due dates specified in the fee schedule issued at the time of admission.
- IIHMCA accepts fees via demand draft, bank transfer and such other payment methods as notified from time to time.
- Fees must be paid by the due date. A grace period will be permitted, after which a late penalty fine will be charged.
- Late payment of fees may result in suspension from classes, exclusion from examinations or cancellation of enrolment, at the discretion of the Institute.
- IIHMCA reserves the right to revise fee structures for subsequent academic years. Enrolled students will be notified of any fee revisions in advance.
FEE REFUND POLICY
Fees once paid are non-refundable except in the circumstances described in our Refund Policy at www.iihmca.org/refund-policy. We strongly encourage all prospective students to read the Refund Policy before paying any fees.
06 Attendance Requirements
- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in all theory and practical classes throughout each semester or term.
- Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement may be barred from appearing in examinations.
- Medical absences must be supported by a certificate from a registered medical practitioner, submitted to the administration within three working days of the student's return.
- Attendance requirements set by Osmania University take precedence for degree program students and may be stricter than the minimum stated above.
No fee refund or credit will be issued on account of absences or failure to meet attendance requirements.
07 Code of Conduct
In the Classroom and Practical Labs
- Students must arrive on time for all classes and 10 minutes before the practical sessions.
- Proper uniforms must be worn in training kitchens, front office training rooms and during all practical sessions.
- Mobile phones must be switched off or kept on silent mode during lectures and practical sessions.
- Damage to Institute equipment, utensils or infrastructure caused by negligence or misconduct will be charged to the responsible student.
General Campus Conduct
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying or intimidation is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action including suspension or expulsion.
- The use or possession of alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances on campus is strictly prohibited.
- Students must not misrepresent themselves or the Institute in any public forum, social media platform or external communication.
Industrial Training
- Students are required to complete the prescribed period of industrial training at hotels or hospitality establishments designated by or approved by IIHMCA.
- During industrial training, students represent IIHMCA and must comply with the policies of the host establishment as well as the Institute's code of conduct.
- Poor conduct during training, as reported by the host establishment, will be treated as a disciplinary matter by IIHMCA.
DISCIPLINARY ACTION
IIHMCA reserves the right to suspend or expel any student whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the academic environment, the Institute's reputation, or the welfare of other students. No fee refund will be issued in cases of suspension or expulsion arising from misconduct.
08 Examinations and Assessments
- Examinations are conducted in accordance with the schedules set by Osmania University (degree programs), State Board of Technical Education & Training, Govt. of Telangana -SBTET (certificate programs) and City & Guilds, London for offering (diploma programmes).
- Students must fulfil all attendance and fee payment requirements to be eligible to sit for examinations.
- Any act of academic dishonesty — including copying, use of unauthorised materials or impersonation — will result in immediate disqualification and may result in expulsion.
- The results of all examinations are determined by the affiliated university, board or Body and are not within the control of IIHMCA. IIHMCA does not guarantee any specific examination outcome.
09 Placements and Career Support
IIHMCA provides placement assistance and career support to eligible graduating students, including campus recruitment interviews, career guidance and facilitation of industrial training at partner establishments.
PLACEMENT DISCLAIMER
IIHMCA does not guarantee employment to any student upon completion of a program. Placement outcomes depend on individual student performance, market conditions and the decisions of prospective employers. Any representation of "100% placement" is not a contractual commitment by the Institute.
10 Use of Website
- You will use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website, servers, or systems.
- You will not use the website to transmit any unsolicited, harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content.
- All content on this website — including text, images, logos, course information, and brochures — is the intellectual property of IIHMCA and may not be reproduced, modified, or distributed without prior written permission.
11 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, IIHMCA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use our website, from inaccuracies in website content, or from disruptions to programs caused by circumstances beyond the Institute's reasonable control, including natural disasters, public health emergencies, or governmental directives.
12 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, your enrolment at IIHMCA, or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
13 Amendments
IIHMCA reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be published at www.iihmca.org/terms-and-conditions with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or continuation of enrolment following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
